Home Remedies for Treating Leukorrhea During Pregnancy

Apple Cider Vinegar

ACV can help treat myriad health ailments, including leukorrhea. Apple cider vinegar can help restore your body’s pH balance. It also has acidic and antiseptic properties that restore the acidic quality of the vaginal area and reduces odor emanated from this area.

How to use Apple Cider Vinegar?

Mix equal amounts of raw and unfiltered apple cider vinegar with distilled water. You may use it as a vaginal wash twice a day till you see some improvement. You may also drink a concoction of water with two tbsp. of ACV every morning.

You can also drink a glass of water mixed with one or two tablespoons of raw, unfiltered apple cider.

Fenugreek Seeds

These tiny seeds can help improve the pH levels in the vagina and also positively affect estrogen levels. The seeds are also a natural immunity booster.

How to use fenugreek seed?

Soak a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds in a cup of water overnight. Next morning, strain water and add a teaspoon of honey to it and drink it up. You could also boil two teaspoons of fenugreek seeds in 4 cups of water for about half an hour. Strain and use as a vaginal wash till you get relief from the symptoms.

Indian Gooseberry

Also known as Amla, Indian Gooseberry has anti-bacterial properties that make it a great remedy to treat vaginal discharge. It is also high in Vitamin C and helps boost your immunity and helps your body fight leukorrhea.

How to use indian gooseberry?

Mix two teaspoons of dried Amla powder with honey to make a thick and gooey paste. Lap up this mixture twice every day.

You could also boil a teaspoon of the powder of Amla root in a cup of water till the quantity reduces to about half. Add some sugar or honey to taste and drink it on an empty stomach as soon as you wake up. Follow this regimen for at least one month.

Banana

Yet another great remedy for leucorrhea is banana. This wholesome fruit can also help in treating symptoms such as lethargy, constipation, and digestive disturbances.

How to use banana to cure Leucorrhea?

Simply munch into one to two overripe bananas every day to treatleucorrhea naturally.

You may also mix two tablespoons of banana flower juice with about two teaspoons of powdered palmyrah candy. Drink this concoction every day till you see desired results.

Figs

Figs have been used since time immemorial in treating several ailments. Ayurveda too propagates the use of figs as it has laxative properties and can help in flushing out toxins and waste from the body, which in turn helps reduce leukorrhea.

How to use Fig?

Soak a handful of dried figs in a cup of water. Leave it overnight. Blend the figs in water the next morning and drink it up on an empty stomach.

You may also grind banyan tree bark and fig tree bark into a fine powder. Use one tbsp. of the powder in two cups of water and use the solution as a vaginal wash.

You can also grind equal amounts of the bark of the fig tree and banyan tree into a fine powder. Mix one tablespoon of this powder in two cups of water. Use this solution as a vaginal wash.

Asafoetida

Asafoetida is very effective in the treatment of leukorrhea. It is also useful after childbirth as it has anti-flatulent and digestive properties. Fry 12 centigrams of asafoetida gum in ghee and mix it with 120 grams of goat’s fresh milk and a tablespoon of honey. Take this thrice a day for a month.

Armed with these remedies, you can easily treat the condition at home. However, remember that if the discharge does not abate, you must consult a physician for help in treating it and to stop it from worsening.
