Lime juice

Lime juice or lemonade is a very good home remedy to prevent nausea or vomiting in kids. The neutralizing acids in lemon help form bicarbonates that are known to relieve nausea. Not just that, the citrus smell of lemon is highly relieving when kids feel nauseated. Cut a piece of lemon, squeeze the juice in a glass of water and let your child drink it with a pinch of salt.

Ginger and honey

Ginger has a carminative property which means ginger helps to relieve flatulence.  Honey apart from being a natural sweetener is loaded with antibacterial properties. Honey also prevents damage to the stomach lining and inflammation of the esophagus. Hence, helping your child gulp a tablespoon of honey mixed with ginger extract will help arrest vomiting.

Peppermint tea

The aromatic leaves and oil of peppermint not only prevent indigestion but also soothe the stomach muscles. The smell of peppermint has a calming effect that can potentially stop vomiting in children. One can give peppermint tea as a remedy to the child who is throwing up.

Fennel seeds water

Add a few drops of aromatic essential oil to a room diffuser and make your child inhale deeply. Lemon oil, lavender oil, peppermint oil, rose oil, etc can be used in the diffuser.  Just inhaling the smell of a cut lemon can also help arrest nausea and vomiting in little kids.
