Homemade Beet and Carrot Soup Recipe for Baby
Appropriate age: After 8 months
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 12 minutes -15 minutes
Ingredients
¼ cup beetroot, peeled and finely chopped.
½ cup carrot, peeled and chopped.
Step 1: Combine the beet and carrot in a pressure cooker with 1 cup of water and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
Step 2: Cool and puree into a smooth soup.
Step 3: Strain the soup and re-heat to lukewarm before serving.
P.S: Introducing beets first may not be a good idea because beets contain an earthy flavor. Your child might not like this flavor. Hence, start with vegetables like carrots, sweet potatoes, etc and then introduce beets.
