Honey

Honey which has antibacterial and antiseptic properties helps to soothe your skin. Moreover, if you are suffering from redness or swelling, honey is something that can help to cure it. Wash your face with warm water and apply honey directly to the area that has been affected. Keep it on your face for 20 to 3 minutes and rinse it with warm water. Honey will also prevent your skin from any environmental damage.

Cucumber and Oatmeal

Cucumber and oatmeal have got cooling properties for the skin. You can also prepare a mask on your own. You just have to blend and keep it in the freezer. Keep it on your face for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse. Cucumber will also help to improve the texture of your skin and it will have a cooling effect on your skin.

Coconut Oil

Again, coconut oil has antibacterial properties for the skin. People generally apply coconut oil on their skin to keep it soothing and glowing. Apply it on your face every night before going to sleep and wash it with warm water the next morning when you wake up. Coconut oil will thus help to expel the bad oil, dirt, blackheads and toxins from your skin.  You can also add a few drops of it to your moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated.

Baking Soda

Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 1 tablespoon of water and apply it individually to each and every pimple you have got on your face. Keep it on your face until the time it dries off and then rinse it with clean water. This will help to dry out the oil on your skin. You can also give your face a gentle massage, moving your fingers in circular motions and then rinse your face with warm water. You can also use coconut oil and baking soda for healthy skin.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is a great way to cure acne. It returns the acidity to our skin and kills the bacteria. Take a cotton ball and soak it in raw apple cider vinegar and apply it to your skin. Mix vinegar(1) with distilled water(3). This will eventually create a toner that is rich in enzymes and naturally hydroxy acids.

Citrus fruit

Citrus fruits are rich in hydroxy acids such as lemons and limes etc. When lemon or lime juice is applied to your skin, it will help to open up the pores and skin cells. Take a lemon and squeeze it and apply it directly to the spots using a cotton ball. You can also add honey and then apply it. However, if the irritation is unbearable, quickly wash your face with warm water.

Avoid Toxins

A large number of body care products contains toxins that disrupt hormonal production. Strictly avoid such products, rather rely on your own body care products. Use baking soda, essential oils, castile soap or vinegar etc. Increase your water intake, start having 7-9 glasses of water a day. As without water, your skin cannot function properly and not only will it be beneficial for your skin but this also aids digestion, absorption, excretion, and circulation.

Eat healthy diet

Your diet plays a crucial role when it comes to your skin. Your skin can easily out show the kind of diet you have. It is extremely important you avoid high sugar foods and processed wheat. Avoid gluten instead choose to eat starchy root vegetables.. Choose organic and cultured dairy products rather than the conventional ones.

Turmeric

Turmeric is one of the best antiseptics to treat your acne at the earliest. Not only this, but this will also give your skin a natural glow. Form a paste by adding a little water to 1 tablespoon of turmeric and apply the paste on the affected area. Leave it on your skin for about 60 minutes and then wash it off.

Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe Vera Gel is rich in antibacterial properties that will help to fight the bacteria that is responsible for the acne. Slice open an aloe vera leaf and apply the gel directly to the affected area. Leave it for 20 to 30 minutes and then rinse it off.

Warm compress

Keeping your skin in warm temperature will help to draw out the pus or bacteria from the pores. Add 1 tablespoon of salt in 2 cups of warm water. Soak a clean cloth in the solution and gently apply it on your face for 10-15 minutes. Do this a number of times daily.

Precautions:

  • Keep your face clean if have acne or even if you don’t. Do not rub your skin harshly and always use a soft and a clean cloth when it comes to your face.
  • Choose oil-free cosmetics and only those products that have the label called ‘non-comedogenic’ which means that it should not cause acne.
  • Watch what product you use for your hair- oils, gels, fragrances because if they get on your face, they can block the skin pores.
  • Do not stay out when it is too sunny. Limit your time and remember to use a sunscreen.
  • Do not stress out. The more you stress yourself, more the chances of acne or pimples.
