1. Coconut

o    Eat four to six tablespoons of extra virgin coconut oil daily. The oil consists of medium-chain triglycerides that expels parasites from the body. This also helps to boost the immune system that further fights against them.

o    Eat a tablespoon of crushed coconut in the breakfast and have a glass of warm milk mixed with two tablespoons of castor oil after three hours.

Castor oil is not recommended for children below the age of five and for individuals suffering from gastrointestinal disease.

2. Carom Seeds

Carom seeds consists of thymol that inhibits the growth of parasites in the intestine. Carom seeds and jaggery can also be used along for better results as per Ayurveda.

o    Eat a tablespoon of jaggery on an empty stomach in the morning every day.

o    Wait for 15-20 minutes and then eat half teaspoon of crushed carom seeds with a glass of water.

o    You should follow the same once daily for two weeks.

The latex from unripe papaya fruit has anthelminitic properties that is rich in the enzyme papain which can effectively destroy the intestinal worms. Moreover the seeds of papaya contain a substance called caricijn that can also be helpful in the same manner.

o    You can grind papaya seeds into the form of powder and add this powder in a cup of warm milk or water. Have it early in the morning on an empty stomach.

o    You can also make a smoothie by grinding papaya seeds and add a tablespoon of coconut oil, one cup of coconut milk and chunks of papaya fruit and simply blend it. Then, mix a tablespoon of honey and blend it again and have it in the morning every day for 7 days.

4. Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seeds contain a compound that is called cucurbitacin. It has anti-parasitic properties that can paralyse the parasites, which in turn prevents them from holding on to the walls of the intestine and they can then be easily eliminated from the body.

o    Mix a tablespoon of roasted and crushed pumpkin seeds with an equal amount of honey. You can have this daily and then can also add a laxative food like banana or kiwi in your breakfast.

o    Add two tablespoons of peeled and crushed pumpkin seeds to three cups of boiling water and let it seep for half an hour. Allow it to cool for sometime and then drink it.

5. Garlic

Raw garlic has sulfur that contains amino acids which are anti-parasitic in nature. Garlic also has antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic properties that help to kill microbes in the body.

o    Eat three cloves of raw garlic on an empty stomach for one week every day. This is one of the most effective remedies.

o    You can also boil two crushed garlic cloves in half a cup of milk and have it on an empty stomach for 7 days.

6. Pomegranate Tree Bark

The leaves, root, stems and bark of the pomegranate tree has anthelminitic properties which is why this is considered a good remedy for intestinal worms.

Add a two inch piece of its tree bark to a cup of water and boil it until the water evaporates. Allow this mixture to cool down for sometime and have it thrice a day after few hours daily. Eat a purgative fruit like banana or avocado to facilitate bowel movement and follow this for a few days.

7. Carrots

Carrots are a rich source of beta-carotene which is a precursor for Vitamin A. This can completely destroy the eggs of the intestinal worms. Moreover, the zinc and Vitamin C will support the immune system that can help to fight them off.

o    Eat two carrots on an empty stomach daily for a few days in the morning. Avoid to eat anything else except for this in the morning.

8. Indian Lilac

Neem has anti-parasitic properties that kill the parasites and also the toxics that they generally leave behind when they are dying.

Fry a tablespoon of dry neem flowers in one teaspoon of butter or ghee. You can then eat this with plain boiled rice for four consecutive days .

o    Add a tablespoon of turmeric juice to a glass of buttermilk and drink it once daily for three days.4
