Dental braces are known as braces, orthodontic cases. Braces are the device used in orthodontics that is used to straighten the position of the teeth with regard to a person’s bite. It also helps in improving the dental health of a person. Braces does fixes the gaps between two teeth. They are taken in consideration to cure the underbites, malocclusions, overbites, deep bites, cross bites and various other flaws of the teeth and jaw.

Braces can be indentified in two different forms one is cosmetic and the other is structural. Braces are used to actually shape the teeth and jaws of a person and it is also used in conjunction with other orthodontic appliances.

Every person is very much cautious about their appearance and they do all the possible stuffs to fit in there somehow. Everyone is worried about their teeth portion as well because at the beginning of the day and also at the end of the day one always has a smile on their face and that smile carries a lot of oneself. Someone who is not comfortable with their teeth and jaws they are usually reluctant to smile. Thinking of how other people will react, not just about other people they themselves don’t like if they don’t have a pretty smile or the sort of appearance they wanted to have. All these things help themselves to find an orthodox and meet them to find out a way to adjust these things on them without having any replications

How does it work?

As brace is a device which helps in adjusting the teeth and the jaw portion, which we got to know earlier, at the same time it does goes through a long process. A brace after applying them actually moves the teeth and as a result it maintains a force and pressure on the teeth.

There are four basic elements which are used ; brackets, bonding material, arch wire and ligature elastic. The arch wire helps moving the teeth which build ups a pressure on the brackets and teeth as well. For giving the teeth a proper direction rubber bands and springs are used.

For letting the teeth move in a desired position braces inhibits constant pressure. The process includes loosen of tooth after which new bones grows in to support the tooth in its new position. This whole process is called bone remodeling. Bone remodeling is a biomechanical process responsible for making bones stronger and sustainable.

Osteoclasts and osteoblasts are the cells out of which bones are made. Resorption happens and two kind of resorptions are possible one is direct resorption and the other is indirect resorption.

Direct resorption starts from the lining cells of the alveolar bone and indirect resorption starts when the periodontal ligaments has been subjected to an excessive amount and duration of compressive stress.

Tooth disposition is one of the common case. It happens in the distracted periodontal ligament. If disposition doesn’t place than tooth will lose and voids will appear distal to the direction of tooth movement..
