Simple Mango recipe for your Infant
Introduce mango to your baby not because, it is an exotic and seasoned fruit. But, introduce it because, it contains a lot of nutrients that your baby needs for developing a strong body and mind. Fruits such as mangoes contain high amount of vitamins, minerals and carbohydrates. Some of the benefits of mango in baby food includes protection of eyesight, fights microbial infections, easily digestible, improvement in brain development and protection against sunstroke to name a few. Delicious Mango Puree
Age – 6 months – 8 months
Preparation Time – 2 minutes
Cooking Time – 2 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe mango
Method
Step 1: Wash the mango
Step 2: ½ cup mango, peeled and sliced
Step 2: Puree the mango in a food processor
Step 3: Add breast milk or warm water to make the puree thinner
For infants older than 10 months, make a chunkier puree by mashing the mangoes with a potato masher.
Precaution: it is always advisable to check with the pediatrician before introducing your baby to a new food, particularly if your baby has food allergies.
