Honey which has antibacterial and antiseptic properties helps to soothe your skin. Moreover, if you are suffering from redness or swelling, honey is something that can help to cure it. Wash your face with warm water and apply honey directly to the area that has been affected. Keep it on your face for 20 to 3 minutes and rinse it with warm water. Honey will also prevent your skin from any environmental damage.
Cucumber and Oatmeal
Cucumber and oatmeal have got cooling properties for the skin. You can also prepare a mask on your own. You just have to blend and keep it in the freezer. Keep it on your face for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse. Cucumber will also help to improve the texture of your skin and it will have a cooling effect on your skin.
Coconut Oil
Again, coconut oil has antibacterial properties for the skin. People generally apply coconut oil on their skin to keep it soothing and glowing. Mix vinegar(1) with distilled water(3). This will eventually create a toner that is rich in enzymes and naturally hydroxy acids.
Citrus fruit
Citrus fruits are rich in hydroxy acids such as lemons and limes etc. When lemon or lime juice is applied to your skin, it will help to open up the pores and skin cells. Take a lemon and squeeze it and apply it directly to the spots using a cotton ball. You can also add honey and then apply it. However, if the irritation is unbearable, quickly wash your face with warm water.

Warm compress
Keeping your skin in warm temperature will help to draw out the pus or bacteria from the pores. Add 1 tablespoon of salt in 2 cups of warm water. Soak a clean cloth in the solution and gently apply it on your face for 10-15 minutes. Do this a number of times daily.

- Keep your face clean if have acne or even if you don’t. Do not rub your skin harshly and always use a soft and a clean cloth when it comes to your face.
- Choose oil-free cosmetics and only those products that have the label called ‘non-comedogenic’ which means that it should not cause acne.
