Bamboozled
The couples should stand facing each other in a row. The person conducting the game will give instructions. The couples should do anything but follow the instructions. For example, if the leader says ‘Sit’, you should stand or run but not sit. Whoever follows the instruction is out of the game. The couple who remains until the end is the winner of the game.
The Liar’s Club
Best played with a group, divide the audience into teams. You can do this as couples and have multiple teams, or you can split the room down the centre and just have Team 1 and Team 2. Chose a panel of 5 people to be our panel of liars. These 5 people were taken into a room beforehand and given a look at 5 of the most random items one could find around your house. When the panel of liars is ready, have them come out and sit in front of everyone. The host will show the audience the first object and then the panel will go in order down the line giving their explanation of how it is used. The teams then guess which panel member was giving the actual purpose of the object.
The team(s) who guesses correctly gets a point and you move onto the next round with the next object. Keep track of all the points and award winning team with a candy bar or special treat!
Telephone Charades
Four people are chosen for each round. Three of the four are taken out of the room where they cannot hear or see what is going on in the party room. The person that remains is given something to act out. Before they start their act, one of the adults who were out of the room will be brought back in. They are told to watch the first person’s act very carefully.
Player #1 begins their act and no one is to tell the 2nd player what the actual scene is. When the first demonstration has been completed, the second person takes their place and performs the same act (without knowing exactly what is being acted out) for the third person. The scene is acted out again once more by the third person when the fourth person enters the room. The round ends when the third person has done the act, and the fourth person is asked to guess which scene they have just seen.
So you think you know your Partner
This is a tough game because the questions are not easy to answer. Split a piece of paper into two equal parts, for men and women. Have ten categories, such as, ‘favourite colours’, ‘favourite movies, and ‘favourite foods’ and even ‘what’s your greatest fantasy’. In each category, the person has to write the favourite colour/movie/food of their partner on one half. On the other half, they have to write their own favourites. For every right answer, the couple will get one point. Each couple has to take the test separately and the answers will be compared by the host. The couple who gets the maximum points is the winner. You can have as many questions as you want.
Romantic Scrabble
It can be a fun way to express love for your partner. You need to form words just like in scrabble game. The rule of this game is to form romantic words and body parts only. Your partner should kiss you on the body part (of the formed word).
Two Truths and a Lie
In each couple, one of them will write down five lies and five truths. These can be truly anything of your desire. Your partner has to decide which one of those are the lies and which ones are the truths. People who make the right picks can proceed to the next round. Couples can take turns writing their truths and lies in each round. This can continue until there is one couple left.
That’s What She Said
Aka the Party Game of Twisted Innuendos. You are given clues about ordinary objects that sound dirty and twisted around to make raucous jokes about. Trying to keep your mind out of the gutter is easier said than done!
Game of Phones
Use your phone to find the weirdest, funniest, and most unexpected responses to the card prompts picked out. This game is family friendly, but your friends’ responses to these prompts definitely won’t be! You’ll have to take turns.
Blind Swag
For this game, players have to be divided into couples. One partner in each couple is blindfolded. You will need to make sure that no one can peek or it would ruin the game. You will also need to make sure that you have plenty of space and nothing breakable in the playing area. All the couples start on one side of the playing area. After the partners are blindfolded, reveal the swag. This can be anything that will get players excited.
Now the players that are not blindfolded must remain where they stand and lead their partners to the prize using only their words (no touching or guiding physically). The goal is to be the first to grab the swag of course, but the hilarity of watching the players try and get there will be laughed about for a really long time.
Booty Call
This hilarious party game takes some prep work but it is so worth it. For each participant, you’ll need an empty rectangle tissue box and about 10 ping pong balls. You’ll also need string or ribbon. Before the party lace the string through each box so that you will be able to tie it around the waist of the players. Next, fill each box with the ping pong balls and your ready.
And here is the fun part: tie the tissue box belts around each players waist, making sure the tissue box is in the back. Put on some music and let the players shake their booties to the music. No touching the box with your hands or help from others. The object of the game is to be the first to bop all your ping-pong balls out.
Firewalk on Legos
In some native tribes, it is considered a feat of courage and strength to walk across a bed of hot coals barefoot, in our world we have a modern equivalent – and if you have ever had the misfortune of stepping on a lego (haven’t we all) then you know this. The host prepares the lego firewalk by creating a long walking path of about 10+ feet. You can create the path in multiple ways. My favourite way is simple, using tape to mark off your walk on the floor.
Once you have created your walking path you will need a lot of lego’s to fill it up. You want to make sure there is no space on the path where a player can step without stepping on a lego.
Once the lego firewalk is complete challenge players to walk across. Use a good prize as an incentive for those who make it all the way across.
Make it Up
A one minute party game in which the blindfolded female partners have to apply makeup to their male partners. The game is to apply foundation on the partner’s face and then apply make up. The time limit is one minute. Prizes can be awarded for the best application, the funniest or the worst.
Blind(folded) Love
In this game, couples have to hug each other based on the clues. Blindfold all the couples. Let all the male members stand in a row and females in another row at a distance. As the music starts, all will begin to walk guiding each other with clues like ‘I am going towards right/left’, ‘I am near a pillar’ etc. It will be greater fun if the music is loud so that they cannot listen to each other’s clues easily. The couple who manages to reach each other first is the winner.
We All Love Ice Cream
Blindfold the male partners and line them up on one side of the room. Let all the female partners stand on the opposite side of the room with a cup of frozen ice cream. As the time starts all the female partners have to run towards their partners to feed them with ice cream. They have to take a spoon full of ice cream and carry the spoon by the handle in their teeth and feed them.
This game has to be done without using any hands. The couple to finish off all the ice cream wins.
Don’t Break My Heart
On a chart paper on the wall, stick some blown balloons and in between a few heart-shaped balloons. The players will stand at a distance and throw the dart to blow off the balloons without blowing off the heart-shaped balloons. In case the player breaks the heart-shaped balloon, he is out. Either you can keep time limit or a limited number of darts. The player who blows off the maximum balloons is wins.
Marital Bliss
This fun game is played over the course of one week or longer (as desired) by a couple. Each day, you each pick a card with a mission and try to secretly accomplish your mission (without alerting your partner), which is often doing something nice or spicy for your partner. This is best as a private game.
The Last Word
Engage in a massive game of one-upping your partner with love notes. Determine a start and end time; it could be hours or weeks. You each write a little love note to your partner and put it somewhere inconspicuous. You can only hide a new love note when you find one from your spouse. At the end of your designated time frame, add up how many notes you each found. The person with the most wins.
Me or You
Assign an affectionate task to each suit in a standard deck of cards. For example, the clubs might be a kiss while the hearts represent a hug. Deal five cards to each of you then take turns playing one card that matches either the number or the suit of the previously played card. If you lay down a black card, you perform the appropriate number of hugs or kisses to your partner. If you play a red card, they have to do it to you. Pick up a new card on each turn and play until you run out of cards or time. An ace could represent a massage to be performed.
Magic Words
One or both of you should come up with a magic word, like ‘sweetie.’ Don’t tell your partner what the word is, because each time he uses it in a sentence, you’ll give him a kiss. Keep the game going until he guesses what the magic word is. This is one of the kissing games that is incredibly fun to play because you can do it all day.
Just Desserts
This one can get a bit sensual if you want it to. Each of you should use a pen (or preferably chocolate sauce) to draw hearts on your own bodies. Once you finish, have your partner find the hearts and kiss you in each location that you chose to draw it.
Spot the Candy
Place a bowl of flour on the table with a candy buried in it. The players have to keep their hands behind their backs. Blow the flour and take the candy with their mouth. This one is bound to cause a round of laughs.
If your guests are a group of energetic and enthusiastic people, then simple games might bore them. Choose games which are a tad difficult to play.
