Basil Essential Oil:

Basil is the next most popular oil when it comes to the boosting of milk supply in your breasts. Due to the presence of progesterone, this oil also balances your hormones and helps you to boost your milk supply.

However, unlike fennel you can carry on applying basil oil for weeks.  Make sure that you make the perfect blend before applying it on your present. Check for your skin’s sensitivity and see whether you are comfortable with the sensation.

Apart from applying directly on your breast, you can also diffuse your room with one or two drops of basil oil. This will also help your child to soothe his/her nerves. Just like fennel oil, basil oil also improves the quality and flow of your breast milk.

Lavender Essential Oil:

Lavender oil is one of the basic oils for aromatherapy. It helps new mothers to boost their milk production. First time mothers can also get rid of anxiety and tension from the aroma of this oil. Look for the therapeutic grade of the oil. That will provide you an idea about the overall quality of the oil. Also dilute the oil before applying it to your breast. You can dilute the thing with vegetable oil with high quality. The carrier oils will allow the oil to settle in your breast, for a while.
